Roux ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Roux Meal Planner app ("App").

Information We Collect

Roux is designed to work primarily on your device. We collect and store the following:

• App data you create — recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and pantry items are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are not transmitted to our servers.
• Purchase information — if you subscribe to Roux Pro, subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We receive anonymized purchase confirmation but do not store payment details.
• Recipe import requests — if you use the AI recipe import feature, the URL or text you submit is sent to our server to process. We do not store this content after processing.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the App's features
• To process subscription purchases via RevenueCat
• To import and parse recipes on your behalf

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. See their privacy policy.
• Apple App Store — handles payment processing for subscriptions.
• OpenAI / AI providers — used to parse recipes from URLs or text. Submitted content is not retained after processing.

Data Retention

All meal plans, recipes, and pantry data live only on your device. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. We do not maintain servers that store your personal food or health data.

Children's Privacy

Roux is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App. For subscription-related data, you can contact us and we will work with RevenueCat to remove any associated records.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
